Single-entry
Typical route:
enter Vietnam -> stay in Vietnam -> final departure
After departure, the same document cannot be used again, even when the printed expiry date has not passed.
Choose the right entry type

A Vietnam tourist eVisa may be single-entry or multiple-entry. The right choice depends on the itinerary: whether the traveller will leave Vietnam and need to return before the visa expires.
We review nationality, current location, dates and every planned entry before confirming the service.

Quick answer
Vietnam tourist eVisas have two entry types:
Single-entry usually fits one continuous stay followed by a final departure. Multiple-entry is needed when the itinerary includes leaving Vietnam and returning, for example after a trip to Cambodia or Thailand.
Both types may be issued for a maximum of 90 days. The approved start and expiry dates control the validity.
Choose the entry type before submission. Do not select Single-entry only because it costs less when the itinerary includes a return to Vietnam.

Route examples
Single-entry is usually enough.
Choose Multiple-entry when the traveller will return to Vietnam under the same eVisa.
A short departure is still a departure. Returning under the same document requires Multiple-entry.
A normal international airside connection is not a new entry. When immigration, baggage collection or leaving the transit area is required, review the route separately.
Report every possible departure and return before submission rather than guessing.
Validity dates
Both entry types follow the same date rules:
Visa exemption
Visa exemption is not a type of eVisa. Some nationalities may enter without a visa for a limited trip when all current conditions are met.
When visa exemption covers the complete itinerary, an eVisa may not be needed.
