Up to 90 days
Ninety days is the maximum, not an automatic validity period. The actual dates depend on what is requested and approved.
Longer tourist stays

A Vietnam eVisa may be issued for up to 90 days as a single-entry or multiple-entry visa. This page explains how to choose the dates, what happens when entry is later, and which entry type fits the travel plan.
Standard processing takes 7-10 business days after actual submission and has no approval guarantee. For urgent processing, the approval guarantee and confirmed processing time are fixed after preliminary review and written acceptance, while the processing-time countdown starts after actual submission.

Validity
A Vietnam eVisa may be issued for a maximum of 90 days. The document shows a specific start date and expiry date. Those dates define when it may be used and when the approved stay ends.
Ninety days is the maximum, not an automatic validity period. The actual dates depend on what is requested and approved.
Single-entry allows one entry. Multiple-entry allows repeat entries within one approved validity period.
The period does not restart at the airport. The dates printed on the eVisa apply.
The official system is intended for foreign applicants outside Vietnam. A new eVisa is not an extension of a current stay inside the country.
Independent applications are submitted through: evisa.gov.vn
Wording
"Vietnam 3-month visa" is a common informal term for a 90-day eVisa. For planning, the exact start and expiry dates matter because three calendar months do not always contain the same number of days.
When an eVisa is valid from 01 September 2026 to 29 November 2026, the expiry date remains 29 November 2026 whether entry takes place on 1 September or later.
Choose the dates from the real itinerary. Do not simply add 90 days to the ticket purchase date or assume validity starts on arrival.
Dates
The eVisa cannot be used before its stated start date.
Entering later does not move the expiry date. Unused days at the beginning are not added at the end.
When visa exemption applies, an earlier entry may be possible under that separate basis. The eVisa does not activate automatically while the traveller stays inside Vietnam.
A re-entry under Multiple-entry does not create a new 90-day period. The printed expiry date remains unchanged.
Allow for the arrival and passport-control dates, planned departure, possible flight changes, regional trips, repeat entries and a reasonable margin before expiry.
Entry basis
The right option depends on nationality and trip length.
Visa-exempt entry and eVisa entry are separate legal bases. Entering under visa exemption does not activate an eVisa while the traveller remains in Vietnam.
Entry type
Choose Single-entry for one entry followed by the final departure. Once used, it cannot be used again even when the printed expiry date has not passed.
Choose Multiple-entry when the itinerary includes leaving Vietnam and returning during the approved period. Multiple-entry does not extend the visa or restart the 90 days.
When no exit and return are planned, Single-entry is usually enough. When at least one re-entry is part of the itinerary, consider Multiple-entry.
Use cases
For a tourist trip that does not fit the available visa-exempt period.
For travellers who need to leave for another Southeast Asian country and return under Multiple-entry.
For a longer visit that remains within the approved eVisa dates.
A tourist eVisa does not replace separate permission required for employment, study or another special purpose.
Inside Vietnam
A new eVisa is not an in-country extension of a current visa-exempt stay or existing visa.
Review the current immigration status, permitted departure date, nationality, other applications, possible exit route, planned re-entry date and required entry type.
Depending on the case, the traveller may need to leave Vietnam, wait for the result and make a new entry during the eVisa validity period.
Do not submit another application blindly when an active, returned or confirmed stuck application already exists.
Before acceptance
For the first message, provide:
nationality;
current location;
planned entry and departure dates;
one entry or repeat entries;
any active, returned or stuck application;
standard or urgent processing interest.
After review, Anton or Anna confirms whether a 90-day eVisa route fits, which dates and entry type to use, whether the request can be accepted, required documents, available processing time and the final exact amount before payment.
Service price
Standard Single-entry
Standard Multiple-entry
For an independent application through evisa.gov.vn, the official government fee is 25 USD for Single-entry and 50 USD for Multiple-entry. Anton and Anna's service price includes review, preparation, submission, government fee, tracking and support within the selected service.
The final exact amount is always confirmed before payment.
Urgent processing uses separate prices. After preliminary review and written acceptance, the approval guarantee and confirmed processing time are fixed. The confirmed processing time starts after actual submission.
Process
Preliminary review: the traveller provides nationality, current location, dates, itinerary, entry type and information about other applications.
Service selection: we confirm the suitable dates, Single-entry or Multiple-entry, and standard or urgent processing.
Documents and payment: we request and review the required documents, then confirm the final exact amount before payment.
Submission and support: after payment, the visa application is submitted to the immigration system. The service-time countdown starts at the moment of actual submission. If the eVisa is approved, we send it to the client after receiving the result.
A Vietnam eVisa may be issued for a maximum of 90 days. "Vietnam 3-month visa" is an informal term, but the exact dates in the approved document control the validity.
The printed start and expiry dates apply. Later entry does not move the expiry date, and unused days are not added at the end.
Not under that eVisa. When visa exemption applies, an earlier visa-exempt entry may be possible, but the traveller must leave and re-enter during the eVisa validity period to use it.
Choose Single-entry for one entry and Multiple-entry for repeat entries. Multiple-entry does not restart the 90 days or change the expiry date.
It depends on nationality and trip length. A short trip may fit visa exemption, while a longer itinerary may require or benefit from an eVisa.
A new eVisa is not an in-country extension. The route should be planned for a new entry after leaving Vietnam.
Standard Single-entry is $70 and Multiple-entry is $105 under the current central calculation. Prices include the government fee. Processing takes 7-10 business days after actual submission and has no approval guarantee. The final exact amount is confirmed before payment.
